Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the cynosure of TRPs, is aired on Star Plus every Monday-Friday at 9:30 PM.
It is a love story that begins after marriage.Akshara,the simple, traditional, innocent only daughter of the prestigious Maheshwari family of Udaipur has her marriage arranged with another desrving boy of her own community. She finds that her husband-to-be Naitik isn't quite what she wanted, but her mother explains to her that love will happen, does happen gradually between the husband and wife.
It is the rare case where two people find love in an arranged marrige.The traditional Indian values are also depicted in good taste in the serial. Though many a times the show , like other Rajshree Productions thus tend to get quite sexist(prejudiced against women), nothing can defeat the charm of pre-marriage romance and post-marriage love between Akshara and Naitik.
